August - Creamfields, it's a wash out!

It’s that time of year again, Creamfields round two.  We have been the ultimate eager beavers and had these tickets booked and paid for since September last year, but why would we not?  The three munters back on tour where we had such an epic time last year, it is however, this year bitter sweet. The munters aren’t even travelling there together, how even has this happened? It’s all we could talk about for months, non-stop, and now look; we are meeting each other there because of a stupid disagreement, sucks to be me. Oh well, RAVE ON.

Oh my god, what an actual weekend I have just lived through!!!! Turns out, meeting each other at the campsite did not happen, but fortunately for me and Melissa, one alcoholic beverage in our systems and we need to use the Portaloos every ten seconds and we seemed to be in sync with each other, and there was no doubt that it made this experience even more memorable, as no matter what, we make our way to each other.
Friday night was an absolute blur, Beccy, the boys and I, must have consumed enough alcohol to get a prohibition reinstated but what a first night it was. Beccy, munter Bradshaw and I all know each other from last year, but the rest are new additions! We have Diggle the comedian, who quickly became the face of Creamfields and basically famous. Matt, Shakey, Al and Jonny, The Birmingham lot, let us sleep in their tent – by allowed, we fell asleep in it before they could even tell us otherwise, and without these boys I do not think our rained out weekend could have even been half as much of a success. Don’t get me wrong, me Bridgough and Melissa would have had a whale of a time, but with a munter down we had to replace her with 6 new ones, but of course, not forever!
The Whole weekend was amazing, even though on the Saturday night we all ended up separated, and I managed to fall over copious amounts of times- Whilst being on my own and laughed at by many laughing lads, then to be picked up by one sympathetic lad, seeing Rudimental, Skrillex, Benny Benassi and Skream were a massive highlight. We spent a weekend laughing a lot, talking about what brilliance we have just witnessed and introducing ourselves to others as Christopher It is amazing what you can do in 72 hours, and how much your perspective on things can change. In those 72 hours, you don’t wash, barely eat and want to brush your teeth with a can of Cider because that is easier to get your hands on than water. You laugh at yourself, at others and with others, and because of this you learn that not a lot really matters. We may have had a day cancelled, but we had each other in the end, we chilled and drank A LOT of free alcohol courtesy of the leaving festival goers, but it turns out that when everyone leaves it actually gets a bit better. You don’t have to queue up for the toilets, you can terrorise people’s abandoned tents, even go as far as claiming one as your own if you’re Shakey, but this has literally been the best weekend I could have lived through. Why would it not have been when you are part of the Avengers and together you can fully assemble?
Long live Creamfields, even if we will not be seeing it in 2013!
